NEW ORLEANS – The Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns officially arrived in New Orleans on Tuesday as it began preparations for the R+L Carriers New Orleans Bowl on Saturday against Tulane.
The Cajuns made the short trip from ¹û¶³´«Ã½ and were greeted at the team hotel by Sun Belt Conference commissioner Karl Benson, who presented the team and head coach Mark Hudspeth with the league trophy. The Cajuns clinched a share of the Sun Belt Conference championship, their first since 2005, in the home finale against ¹û¶³´«Ã½M on Nov. 30.
Louisiana will hold its first practice on Wednesday in the Mercedes-Benz Superdome before enjoying a team outing in the evening.
Kickoff for Saturday's game against Tulane is scheduled for 8 p.m. The game will be televised nationally on ESPN.
